Final Year

I don't know if you reading this will be in my current situation, or if you know what it's like, but I am currently in my final year at school.

This is my last year (thank god...) before I go to college. This isn't the same as college in America, I have no clue what the difference is aha!

If any of you are in your last year or are about to in September, I can give a few tips on how to cope.

The first is to stay calm, as it is very easy to become stressed during this time.
Don't argue with your teachers. No matter how you think they may feel about you, they are trying to help you.
Ask for support when needed- whether that be from your friends, teachers or family, someone will listen to you.
Get your coursework in by the deadline, it'll give you more time to focus on your actual exam.
If you don't understand the work, ask for help. You will not understand it later if you never understand it in the first place.

This time is important, so don't waste it by messing about.

Until next time x

I missed it!

Yes, I am back.

*pauses for shocked silence*

I am so sorry I missed the year anniversary of this blog, and that I didn't make a post. I promise (pulls a strange face in hopes that I remember) that I will remember for next year so I can do a celebratory post.

I will try and post regularly again, though in between GCSE exams, revision and a whirlwind of thoughts I may not be able to, so don't go insane if there isn't a new post when I said there might be.

Anyways, it is incredibly late here and I need some sleep.
I promise I won't forget about you again!

Until next time!

July Favourites

So I am officially the worst person. I only did one post last month, mainly because everything got a bit too hectic and dramatised. Literally, everything went downhill and I honestly wasn't in the mood for anything.

But, it's better late than never, so I will be doing my July favourites this time around.

Also, I'm holiday so I don't have enough time available to take photos and watermark then etc, so today will just be a text post. Sorry, but as always, the links will be at the end.

One of the things I was loving in July was the 'Archery' brow pencil by Soap and Glory. If you didn't already know, I love Soap and Glory. It's one my favourite brands, and their products are just worth the price they're stated at. The pencil has a felt tip type thing at one end, and a crayon/pencil on the other. There are two shade, 'Love is Blonde' and 'Brownie Points', which is pretty self explanatory for your hair colour. I got 'Brownie Points', obviously. It's really good for a starter brow pencil, as it is easy to use.

Something else was the Real Techniques Core Collection face brush set. I got this a reward from my mum, and it is incredible. Not only does it give a flawless finish, the brushes look so cute! They're also really easy to clean for me, and they're just all around the best brushes I've used.

The third thing I was loving was the No7 brush cleanser, which I bought shortly after receiving
my new brushes. It's so simple to use, and with the amount of times I've used and cleaned the brushes, I'm still on my first bottle. A bit on the expensive side at £8, but still cheaper than some of the bigger name brands.

Next, I have resparked my inner child by watching Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins is a beautiful film, and just amazing. (Acts like I'm not watching it whilst I'm writing this) Overall I'd say I've watched it over 5 times since having the DVD. It is definitely my favourite film, it's just the best. If you haven't seen it already, I suggest hopping over to Netflix or anywhere else to watch it.

Finally, I have been LOVING the Saccone-Jolys'. They are an Irish family of vloggers, with two children and six maltese dogs. In the family there is Jonathan, the dad, Anna, the mum, Emilia, a 21-month year old girl, Eduardo, a 2-month year old boy and Abli and Sina, the puppies parents, with the puppies being named Bianca, Nuvola, Nivea and Theo. They recently moved to England, and it is now part of my daily routine to watch their new vlog everyday at 6pm. So, if you want a new YouTuber to watch, give them a try!

Mini haul!

Hiiiii.

Sorry I skipped posting last month, I got busy with school work, my room was being redecorated and then I couldn't find any time to edit the photos and then write up the post.

BUT.

I am going to post this one, and another, and then ANOTHER, because I skipped out last month. So, feel special. :)

If you couldn't tell by the title, then is is going to be a mini haul, as it is a filler. And when I say mini, I mean mini. There aren't that many things mentioned, which probably isn't that interesting for you to read but it's something.

I would also like to apologise for the lack of edited photos, but this is being completed in a rush.

So, let's get started!

So I bought 5 Seconds Of Summer's debut album, 5 Seconds Of Summer, and Ed Sheeran's new ablum, Multiply.

So I needed a brush cleaner, because I was using shampoo and it was making the fibres all greasy and ugh. The only reason I got it was because I had received new (expensive) brushes and didn't want them to end up as my other ones. Anyway, it's really good. I'll put the brushes in my next post, as I've just cleaned them.

I needed a dry shampoo that worked, and this was cheap in Boots the day I bought it and it was pink, so why not?

I saw Ebony Day use mousse in her 'Everyday Hair Style video (link below), but she used one by Aussie, and when I went to tescos, they didn't have it. Grr.
There was some deal on VO5, I can't remember what it was, but I got these. The 'Mega Hold' one is great, it's weather resistant which is great for England (it's either raining or it's sunny, it's just stopped raining and the sun's come out).

I'm not sure if you can remember, but from my Welsh haul I mentioned the facial scrub of this make. I recently discovered that you shouldn't use a scrub more than once a week, so I bought this facial wash, which has the same scent which I love.

May Favourites!

I know that I have already done a post today, but I need to post my May Favourites before the month is up.

This month, there are a range of favourites, some more unusual than my last favourites.

Let's get started!

This is the Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub by Neutrogena.
This stuff smells amazing, looks amazing and does the job it's supposed to. And it continues working instead of working the first time then just, not afterwards.

This is the TRESemme Keratin Smooth 7-day smooth system, which 'apparently' works through four washes.
I think it lasts through about two or three, and it's kind of a downer that you have to use 8-10 pumps, and have to straighten your hair after drying.
It is good though, and I have noticed vast improvements to the frizziness of my hair.

This is the Daisy perfume by Marc Jacobs, and it is amazing. The only way I can describe this scent is, summer and freshly cut grass and flowers.
It is really pricey, but I've recieved it as a christmas present every year for about two years, and it is so good.

I mentioned both of these items in my previous post, and I understand why people rave about this foundation and Sleek blushers.
The foundation is quite thick, but does give the full coverage that I have been unable to find so far.
The blusher, as most Sleek products, is highly pigmented, but it gives good coverage and the 'Rose Gold' is just the most beautiful shimmery colour.

If you haven't heard of this book, then you've been living underneath a rock or something, because this book is amazing.
If you haven't read it, then go read it. After you've read this post.

Yes, I do play The Sims, and I received this expansion pack for my birthday, along with Pets.
This is my favourite expansion, as it comes with so much for kids, teens, adults, toddlers, babies, elders, it's just amazing.
This is definitely a recommended part for any aspiring sim-player.

I mentioned this in my last post, and this has wormed it's way here, as I love it so very much.
It is the Kate Moss Rockin' Curves mascara in Jet Black 004. It's a Broken-heart shaped brush, and is one of the best mascaras I have found in a while.

Some songs that I have been loving this month include-

-Only Love Can Hurt Like This- Paloma Faith
-Brush You Off My Heart- Ebony Day
-Turn Your Face- Little Mix
-Daniel In The Den- Bastille
-About The Boy- Little Mix
-Happily- One Direction

Finally, a TV programme that I have been loving is Ex on the Beach, which shows on MTV, tuesdays at 10pm.

Drugstore Haul!

I'm not sure if you know this, but I do LOVE going into drugstores like Boots and Superdrug and trying new things.

So, after having a week off from school, (thank the lord), you can probably guess that I went shopping. Well, you guessed right because I can now tell you guys what I got from Boots and Superdrug.

I am not rich, and I know that some of this stuff is expensive, though it is 3 for 2 across all cosmetics in Superdrug, so I took advantage of that.

It doesn't look like I bought a lot, though it was really heavy so I count that as a lot.

So first off, I went to Superdrug, which is one of my favourite places in the world.

Urban Fudge Iced Raspberry & Vanilla Hairspray (Soft Touch Ani-Frizz Strong Hold)

-I actually got two new cans as it was 2 for £9,but I put them away so I took a picture of my almost-empty can.

These last two items were from Boots, one was an actual buy and the other an impulse. I won't say which was what.

An Abundance of Katerines- Book Review

If you read my last post, Birthday Shenanigans, you'd know that I received three books for my birthday about a fortnight ago.

Those books were, An Abundance of Katherines, Will Grayson, Will Grayson and Let It Snow.

I recently finished reading An Abundance of Katherines, which I'm now going to abbreviate to AAoK, as typing it will get irritating and annoying.

Anyway, the book is about a child prodigy, Colin Singleton and his best friend, Hassan Harbish, a Judge Judy fan. During his life, Colin has dated 19 girls, and been dumped 19 times, all by girls named Katherine (spelt all the same way). After K-19 dumps him, Colin and Hassan decide to go on a road trip to try and cheer Colin up.

I won't reveal anything else incase you guys want to read it, but that's how it kind of starts.

BLURB-
19 KATHERINES AND COUNTING...

When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton's type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact.

On a road trip miles from home, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocket, a blood-thirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight Judge Judy-loving best friend riding shotgun - but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hopes will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl.

It is a great book, I would recommend it to anyone, though it does show some complicated math which, if you're not good at math like me, confused me.

All in all, it is a good book, and a must-have.

You can read the plot here if you wish-
