So today I will be informing you how to make Tiffin.
Tiffin is like a cake, made with biscuits, butter, sugar, golden syrup, chocolate chips and melted chocolate. Unlike regular cakes, Tiffin does not require baking.
This is so easy to make, it's almost impossible to go wrong.
Ingredients-
-100g Butter or Margarine
-200g Digestive Biscuits
-2 tablespoons of Caster Sugar
-2 tablespoons of Golden Syrup
-1 or 2 handfuls of Chocolate Chips
-250g Milk or Plain Cooking Chocolate
Equipment-
-Sandwich bag
-Rolling Pin
-Pan
-Wooden spatula
-Tea towel
-Teaspoon
-Tray
-A glass bowl that will fit into the pan but not touch the bottom.
Method-
1. Put the biscuits into the sandwich bag and tie it up. Place the bag onto the tea towel and fold it over, so it is covered. Hit the towel/bag lump with the rolling pin until the biscuits are crushed. Don't worry if there are big chunks; it'll still work.
2. Melt the butter in the pan over the stove. Once it has fully melted, add in the sugar, chocolate chips and golden syrup. Keep stirring, then pour in the biscuits from the sandwich bag. Stir them in until all the biscuits are covered in the liquid.
3. Once covered, pour the contents of the pan into the tray and push into the edges until the bottom of the tray can't be seen. Put into the fridge to set.
4. Pour some water into the pan, and put the glass bowl on the top. Make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
5. Break the cooking chocolate into the separate squares. Stir regularly with a spoon until it becomes a liquid.
6. Take the tray from the fridge. Pour the melted chocolate over the biscuit base, making sure it is completely covered.
7. Once fully covered, put back into the fridge and leave until the chocolate has hardened on top. Once hardened, cut into squares and serve. Keep in the fridge.
